Food For The Soul: Sacrifice

At the hardest and most agonizing point of Christ's ministry, He didn't give up.

He stayed the course and remained on the altar of sacrifice in obedience to His Father and for the love of every soul. He sacrificed everything for others. To bring victory, freedom, restoration and life.

He now sits at the right hand of His Father, ruling and reigning for all eternity.

How about you, are you willing to sacrifice for Jesus? How about for others?

Romans 12
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God–this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is–His good, pleasing and perfect will.

Have a sacrificing kind of day!
Grace, love & peace to all

Food For The Soul: Perception

Remember, if God calls you, His grace covers you. If He chose you, He equips you. If He is your mighty Refuge and the stronghold of your life, then not one thing in this world can crush you. Stay strong!

The best is yet to come!

1 Peter 2:21
For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in His steps.

Love & peace to all in Christ

Food For The Soul: Wisdom

When people cross our path whether good or bad, always take the good out of it and learn from each encounter. God gives us pearls of wisdom with each encounter to grow us. Embrace them.

There are some who will throw you pearls while others throw rocks. Learn from both, but grab the gems and cherish them. There are some you may never remember, while others will be in your heart for a lifetime. Each one strengthens your faith and helps build your character. Be grateful cherishing every moment.

God is faithful. He is gentle and filled with lovingkindness. Even when we don't understand, we must trust Him and rest in His Divine providence. We only see today, but God sees the whole picture from beginning to end having our best interest in mind.

Deuteronomy 32:4
The Rock! His work is perfect, for all His ways are just; a God of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright is He.

There is a time to rejoice and a time to morn, but in these moments there will always time to be grateful.

Grace, love & peace to all.

Food For The Soul: Surrender

Only when we start surrendering our thoughts and desires to every Word of God can we begin to crucify our flesh and nail them to the Cross of Christ. This means to completely surrender our thoughts, actions and words.
How are you doing with surrendering to God's Word?

Galatians 5:24
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passion and desires of their sinful nature (the flesh) to His Cross and crucified them there.

Believers are in a spiritual conflict. Jesus gave us victory for every conflict we face. Walking with Jesus in His freedom, with a trusting faith, in hope of all His promises and making prayer a way of life will be our powerful walking tools. Use them! Focus! Mind-set!

Mind of the Spirit!
Attitude of Christ!

Have a surrendering kind of day

Food For The Soul: Power Walk

The Word of God tells us if we live by the Spirit we will not gratify the desires of the flesh, see Galatians 5:16.

By walking in the Spirit we will joyfully carry out God's will and not our own selfish will, by the power and guidance of the Spirit through Christ Jesus. What or who powers your walk?

No matter the opposition or obstacles we face, if we truly believe in all of God's Word in faith and with all hope in His promises, then we will strain every muscle in complete surrender to follow God in obedience. We will listen to His voice above every voice.

God's Divine favor, direction and protection will be with His chosen ones who surrender and obey His voice. God is with them every step, and they trust Him with all their love, heart, soul and strength.
Who or what directs and protects your steps?

1 Samuel 14
6 Then Jonathan said to the young man who was carrying his armor, “Come and let us cross over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; perhaps The Lord will work for us, for The Lord is not restrained to save by many or by few.”
7 “Do all that you have in mind,” his armor-bearer said. “Go ahead; I am with you heart and soul.”

Have a power walking kind of day!
Grace, peace & love to all

Letting Go Of The Past

If we must suffer, let us suffer for what truly counts.

Before Christ, our past counts for nothing and everything is meaningless. There's no assurance or confidence in a lifeless past. Looking back only slows us down. It robs us of peace and kills our joy.

Once we know Christ everything counts towards our eternal future, with our past being dead and buried. Why do we bring it back and relive it in our mind? It is useless effort to relive what's buried. Let it go!

Christ who is alive and active came to give abundant life, confident hope and eternal security, John 10:10. Live in the future with Christ and focus on His truth. The truth of Him giving us victory at The Cross.

We can't walk in victory if we don't fix our minds on His promises of hope and set our eyes towards Heaven which is our eternal home.

We are in a race to win. A runner has only one focus, the finish line. We can't run the opposite way and expect to cross the finish line. Focus on the victory!

Philippians 3:14
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Have a victorious kind of week!

Food For The Soul: Harmony

Jesus in His Divine glory came to earth and set the perfect example for His followers.

As His followers, we need to come down from selfish desires to put on humility and love. We must do all we can to live in harmony with others.
It's all about Jesus!

We should take on the authority and grace He has given us by applying it with the power of God's Spirit through the truth of His Word. Live it out!

We must with all diligence and determination walk in love, encourage one another and pray for one another.

We must make every effort to be as humble as Jesus was. To resemble Him in every way, by setting the example for the people around us everywhere we are, even more so with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Live In Harmony!
The Mind Of The Spirit!
The Attitude Of Christ!

Philippians 2:5
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.

Have a humbling kind of weekend. Grace, peace & love to all

Food For The Soul : Change

Even though we change, our God never changes. His love is steadfast, His mercy is everlasting and His compassion is tender towards us. He remains faithful.

God's plans stand firm, Psalm 119:89.
God is eternal and unchanging, Malachi 3:6.
God will complete what He begins in us, Philippians 1:6.
He sees it all from the beginning to end. He wants the very best for us, Romans 8:28.

We have to trust His plan when it doesn't make sense to us in the darkest hours, through the deepest waters and the lowest valleys, Proverbs 3:5-6.

Change is good when it changes our heart and ways to be more like Jesus from the inside out. Sometimes that means our hearts have to be broken to see what He sees, to bring the change He desires in us. May not feel so good at the moment, but it sure is worth the treasures gained, if we go through it with a humble heart of obedience.
We need to take courage, hold tightly to His promises, stand firm in our faith and trust Him through the process.

Is God wanting a change in your heart? Are you willing to move out of your comfort zone to make the changes according to His will?

Isaiah 55:8
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares The Lord.

Food For The Soul : Blessed

Do you believe God blesses you? Do you consider your life blessed? Do you believe you bless others?

Did you know being blessed has nothing to do with things, comforts, money, success, good friends, or even circumstances? God causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous, Matthew 5:45. It's called unmerited blessings that are temporary that will not last. God warns us against temporary comforts throughout His Word.

People tend to throw the word blessed around. It's watered down and not anchored in God's truth when we believe it's about things, people or circumstances. For the non-believer or the lukewarm Christian, these so called blessings can blind the heart from the desperate need of the one true Savior, because the comfort is a temporary unfulfilling gifts that leave the soul empty.

Being blessed is seeking truth, holiness that leads to righteous living in the Spirit through Christ.
It's facing the reality of trials, hardships, rejection and even death while keeping your peace. It's sacrificing self for the ultimate blessing of intimately knowing and the joy of living for our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ, who sacrificed everything for us.

Is there a greater blessing than Jesus? Is there a greater blessing than leading others to Jesus? Are you living a truly blessed life?

I pray God will do what's necessary in your life to set your soul on fire for Jesus. Today, may He give you an unquenchable zeal and hunger for His truth with an unshakable loyal heart to faithfully live it out now.

Seek It! Possess It! Keep It!

Ephesians 1:3-10
Verse 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

Have a blessed seeking kind of week.

Food For The Soul: God’s Protection

Delight to sit under your Father's shade, allowing Him to care for you and protect you. Taste the sweet fruits He offers. His banner over you is love.

He holds you in the safety of His strong arms. His right hand gives strength and favor. He wraps you in the fullness of His joy.

How precious is His Presence.
How glorious is His love.
How radiant is His Light.

Seek Abba, your Heavenly Father, and engage Him in deep emotion. It's a beautiful love story that will never end. A true love relationship that will not disappoint you.

Have a delightful kind of day!

1John 4:16
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
